That 3 minutes and 28 seconds when a song is on the radio that the whole family knows and life is peaceful. In those moments the sun is shining brighter, the traffic seems to be flowing, O&G actually like each other, and my voice is in tune. In those moments all is right with the world- until 3 minutes and 29 seconds hit and all is no longer right.
The traffic is now congested, things like "she's copying me!" is our new soundtrack, and if one more person says my name I might rip my ears off and throw them out the window.
But that 3 minutes and 28 seconds is the best- I can't think of many things better. There are smiles all around and life is good.
Apparently I need to make a soundtrack for our life (where we all know the words) that continuously plays 24/7. That.would.be.so.damn.good. Until I figure out how to be tech savvy and my iPod can hold my attention span for longer than .5 seconds I will just continue to dream of the good moments while "She's looking at MEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!" is blaring in the backseat. Thank the heavens for Riesling.
